His senior at Cathedral High, He tallied 43 tackles (11 tackles for loss) and five sacks. In his junior year, Coleman recorded 16 tackles for loss with 7 1/2 sacks. He was responsible for winning three of the five consecutive Class 5A state championships. In 2015, he was ranked as the #2 defensive end in the State of Indiana. He earned honors at the American Family Insurance All-USA Today Indiana, Indiana Football Coaches Association Top 50 All-State Team, Two-time Associated Press All-State First-Team, and PrepStar All-Midwest Region.
