Player Bio: Kevin Dotson prepped at Plaquemine High School in Plaquemine, LA, as he was a three-time All-District Guard. Dotson help to lead his team to a 13-2 record his senior year losing the Class 4A State Semifinals. Dotson earned Louisiana Class 4A First-Team All-State and was rated the number four guard in Louisiana by Rivals.com. Dotson also was named to the NOLA.com/The Times-Picayune All-Baton Rouge Area Football Team and selected for the Louisiana High School Coaches Association All-Star Game. Dotson started 51 consecutive games for the Rajin-Cajuns and earned numerous awards and selections. Dotson became the first player at Louisiana-Lafayette history and the first representative of the Sun Belt Conference to be selected and named to First-Team AP honors. The AP award is the most prestigious and honorable of college football All-American teams.

Strengths: Dotson has an abundant body with a stable lower trunk and displays tremendous power. A very cerebral player who understands the game and can alter his play when faced up against higher caliber players. He is a quarterback and running back best friend at the line of scrimmage—Dotson's massive body and very athletic for a player of his size.  Dotson is a freak of nature run blocking mauler who destroys the defenders lined-up over him. Has unbelievable leverage blocking straight ahead or blocking down, with driving his legs and continues to drive until the end of the play. He puts a smile on our face the way he pancakes the defender or clears out the holes for the backs. As a pass blocker, his large frame gives him extra protection range against the rusher. He has a good base, sets a good anchor, with a powerful punch. Versatile- can play all five positions on the offensive line. In the East-West game, he established him considerably against the dominant West line. Over 50 starts his collegiate career displays his durability and toughness.​ A 2020 NFL Combine snub, Dotson has a huge chip on his shoulder and have a lot to prove.
 
Weaknesses: As a physical lineman that demolishes the defender, we can always find some flaws. Dotson's aggressiveness as a mauler, he does tend to lunge at the defender and become off-balanced at the point-of-attack. He will miss his projected target leaving him lost in space. He does not block well under the thighs and will need to work on better chop blocks. He is not very productive running laterally, where speedy and sound pass rushers with great moves can hang him out to dry.
