He became the first recruit from Connecticut to receive a scholarship to attend TCU. Niang was the #1 rank lineman in the state and #3 overall tackle to be recruited his senior year and named to the 2015 Walter Camp All-Connecticut Team. Recruited highly by Penn State and Auburn, but elected to play for TCU. A three-year starter for the Horn Frogs but was limited by injuries to his hip as well playing half the season with a torn labrum in 2019.
