He has a great ability to steer through traffic to make plays. His ability to evade blocks with the great lateral movement from quick feet is impressive. He has excellent power in his upper-body that allows him to take on blocks and shed. He makes much noise when he lays hat on the ball carrier and usually makes the tackle. He is a very experienced player that started all four-years that has a sound cerebral mind that is capable of recognizing play-action plays or runs. A durable player who did not miss a start and never injured during his Hurricane career.
Weaknesses: Typically when we come across players that are big hitters, generally, they are too aggressive and exceeding their play. Instead of tackling the ball, he will be less concentrated on taking on the lead blocker. He is a legitimate run-stopping linebacker who will only be vulnerable on run downs. Teams that run an 11 personnel offensive formations more than likely limit his time on the field. He is not very fluid in the hips, which does show on passing downs. He struggles in coverage and limited with his drop range. Draft Grade: 5.90 Draft Projection: 5th round NFL Comparison: Andre Smith
