#6 Tony jones jr vs iowa st (2019)

Strengths: He has NFL prototype frame to that is built to take on a huge workload. He is a downhill runner that is powerful and runs in straight-line to gain yardage but will make a defender miss if necessary. The ideal back for the third-down and one or even in red zone sets. Shared the bowl with three other backs while in colledge, therefore his body is not worn out. He will protect on passing downs throwing his body into contact, or as a pass blocking back. He reads the field and recognizes blitz and violently wil crush the blizing linebacker.

Weaknesses: He lacksthe explosivness that is required for backs on the field. His carries will result on short yardage after crashing into defender. He does not posses good vision while attacking the holes. Has struggled with starting and stopping on runs and needs to work on that break. Conditoning was a big factor in career at Notre Dame, and affected his play. Does not posses good vision missing the correct run lane. Limited run area, not able to run the permiter and turn up. His receiving skills are below average.

Draft Grade: 5.40

Draft Projection: 7th round

NFL Comparison: Rod Smith
