#9 Jonathan Adams Jr vs kansas st (2020)

#9 Jonathan Adams Jr game highlights (2020)

Strengths: He has an extensive and powerful frame that is perfect for an NFL receiver. His big frame allows him to shield against the defender and make the most unbelievable catches. He is not a burner but is a speedy receiver that is determined and physical to make yards after the catch. He made a living off of bubble and quick screens throughout his career. However, this past season he made spectacular catches after the other. He has solid and reliable hands that rip the ball from the air. He has a wide catch radius making any ball thrown his way to be caught. He will win most 50/50 balls with the leaping ability of his basketball background. He is a willing downfield blocker that manhandles the defensive backs that cross his path. He has the ability to play outside or in the slot and is a red zone threat. He showed up and showed out against bigger competition of Kansas St and Georgia.

Weaknesses: One hiccup to his game that will stick out is the level of competition that he played. He will need to refine his routes for the next level to get open in the middle of the field. He tends to waste with too many moves trying to get separation off the line. A productive receiver in the Sun Belt Conference and out-muscling the defensive back will not work in the NFL. Despite his strong and reliable hands, they are small for his size. He attempts to make too many one-handed grabs and will get drilled at the next level for incompletions. He did not run well at his pro day and may hurt his stock.

Draft Projection: 6th - 7th Round

NFL Comparison: Kenny Golladay (Detroit Lions)
