Player Bio: Daniel Faalele grew up in Melbourne, Australia, where he played rugby and basketball. It was only when a coach from the University of Hawaii was scouting other players and discovered Faalele as he assisted in getting him recruited to attend IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL. He became a starter in his first year at IMG Academy and helped led IMG to an undefeated season. Faalele received an invite to the 2018 Under Armour All-America Game, where he played and committed to the University of Minnesota.

Strengths  

• ​​He is a giant with a massive bulky body where he looks like a barbarian.
• He has a solid trunk, good width, and will impossible to be moved.
• He has a good punch when he extends his long arms and knocks the defenders around
• He can wipe out two gaps in a single block with his width at the point of attack.
• He has outrageous power in the run game while pile blocking.
• He uses good leverage in space and is athletic enough to seal the edge and get up to the second level of defenders.
• His early career in playing rugby provided him with excellent skills that translated to the American game.

Weaknesses

• Still learning the game and will need to retain the skills at the next level.
• He will get outside his pad level by reaching out to the defender, causing himself to be off-balanced.
• He will be gullible against speed rushers does not have the quickness to cut off-angle. 
• Pass blocking skill will need to refine; offers little in that area.
• He will be required to shed some weight to get quicker.
