At Garden City Community, He had 44 tackles, one sack, one forced fumble, a pass breakup, and two blocked kicks during the 2019 campaign at Garden City. Gaye was named to the 2019 All-Jayhawk League First Team.​

• He demonstrates reasonable body control by keeping his balance and staying on his feet to attack the blocker.
