career highlights

STRENGTHS

  • He has the ideal size, weight, length, and frame for an NFL defensive tackle.
  • He has good speed to track down the ball carrier.
  • He uses his length by extending his arms to keep the block off his body.
  • He uses his size to penetrate and establish leverage at the interior line.
  • He uses his leverage by overpowering the blocker to infiltrate the backfield.
  • His powerful bullrush technique destroys one-on-one blocks that require double teams to slow him down.
  • He can demonstrate the ability to shed blocks and maintain his gap integrity at the line of scrimmage.
  • He can generate pressure to apply some pressure as a pass rusher.

WEAKNESS

  • He plays above his pad level, neutralizing his leverage on the rush.
  • He can get stuck on his feet when double-teamed, getting stronger, especially in his lower half, would enable his power.
  • He will need to learn how to beat the double-team at the next level.
  • He lacks the flexibility and stalls on the rush while trying to stunt.
  • He lacks a high-motor, will fade or not give 100% by taking off plays.
Draft Projection: 1st Round

NFL Comparison: Christian Wilkins (Miami Dolphins)
