STRENGTHS

WEAKNESSES

  • He is one of the elite, versatile tight ends in this draft, which is equipped with speed and acceleration and can threaten the defense as a vertical receiver and do things after the catch.
  • He is very fluid and flexible; he can navigate through traffic and changes his flow direction with relative ease.
  • He will run his routes effortlessly; his long frame allows him to sprint and separate from the defender.
  • He can be a matchup problem for most linebackers and safeties due to his quickness and ability to run receiver routes.
  • He can line up in many positions, tight end, outside receiver, and U-back, demonstrating his versatility.
  • His eye-hand coordination is unique; he can work back to the pressured quarterback and twist his body to make challenging catches.
  • He has a wide catch radius, as he will pluck the ball from the air after high-pointing the throw.
  • He is willing to participate in the run game as a blocker with sub-par blocking ability.
  • His slight build will not sustain him as a three-down tight end at the next level.
  • He needs to bulk up, adding about 10-15 pounds of muscle to strengthen him as a blocker.
  • In the run game, he struggles to get his hands on the target and drive his leg through the blocks.
  • He will get stood straight up by the pass rusher, consistently driving him off his anchor.
  • He often was folded up like a lawn chair due to his lack of strength to sustain pass rushers.
  • He can improve his route running with his break-out routes, not rounding them on the break.
  • He suffered a break in his back during a game late season, did not test at combine nor pro-day.
Draft Projection: 1st (late) - 2nd Round

NFL Comparison: Travis Kelce (Kansas City Chiefs)
