Player Bio: Derick Hall attended Gulfport High School located in Gulfport, MS. In his senior year, he recorded 83 tackles earning him the Sun-Herald All-South Mississippi First-Team. He received an invite to the Under Armour All-American Game. Hall also played basketball and was a state finalist at 200 meters in track. He was in the French Club, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and Construction Club.

strengths

• He has an excellent frame with a tremendous wingspan.
• A cerebral player with a high football IQ and a three-year starter.
• An EDGE rusher with speed will win primarily with power. 
• He is powerfully strong and overpowering as an outside rusher.
• He uses active hands and arms to knock down the arms of the blockers that attempt to disengage.
• He can shed blocks to get to the ball.
• He is physical as a tackler who will create leverage to move linemen when rushing inside.

weakness

• At the college level, his power quickly allowed him to bullrush the blocker to the backfield.
• He must use hand placement into the blocker's chest to get better leverage to drive back on bullrush.
• He needs to learn more countermoves when rushing; he cannot continue to believe he can win with bull-rushing. 
• He will get above the pad level; he does not have great bend or flexibility
