STRENGTHS

WEAKNESSES

  • He is a physical type of cornerback with whom most NFL defensive coordinators will fall in love.
  • He is an excellent press cornerback that invites the receiver to his island to square them up.
  • He has good speed to make plays on the ball, excellent in run support or screens or swings passes out the backfield.
  • He flies downhill for importance, as he will bring the hammer down for the hit.
  • He demonstrates excellent footwork that allows him to remain locked to the receivers on short and intermediate coverages.
  • In zone coverages, he has a great reaction to the quarterback as he lays back and reads his eyes to break on the ball.
  • He demonstrates excellent route recognition and can jump the routes quickly without wasting any movement while planting and driving to the ball.
  • He exercises good angles to the ball playing through the receiver to dislodge the ball at the catch point.
  • Doesn't appear to have the speed to run vertically with faster receivers, and he seems to lose his balance at times trying to stay in phase.
  • He appears to have some hip tightness as he does not explode while rotating for outside routes.
  • He is a big hitter, however at the next level, those hips are borderline and will draw flags.
  • He also like to muscle up receivers down the field, definelty will get him 15-yards at the next level.
  • Smart offensive coordinators will use his aggresivenss and physciality against with double move routes.
  • He lacks exceptional recovery speed, and tends to stumble when need to turn and go.
  • Speedy receiver will show his fate at the next level.
Draft Projection: 1st - 2nd Round
