STRENGTHS

WEAKNESSES

  • He has a mammoth frame for an NFL offensive tackle position protecting the blind side, with unbelievable 36⅛" length arms.
  • He has tremendous athleticism to attribute to his physical stature and powerful play.
  • He is a versatile player who played both the guard and tackle positions.
  • While engaged with the defender, his lateral movement flows comfortably.
  • He can open up holes in the run game by himself in addition to combo blocks and double-teams.
  • He has a nasty disposition as a run blocker, looking to flatten the defender on every play.
  • He has silky feet as a pass protector, allowing him to mirror speedy pass rushers; he can redirect himself to pick up a late blitzing linebacker or defensive back.
  • His impressive strength allows him to drop anchor to subdue powerful bull rushers.
  • He uses his long arms and mighty hands to strike the rushing defenders; if he misses, he can recover and redirect the defender's rush lane.
  • He started only one season at Ohio State; a total of 13 games will be a huge question to answer for the next level.
  • In the run game, he will need help to stay level at the point of contact and maintain his sight and engagement with his target.
  • He ideally has not mastered pass protection surroundings, as he slacked the speedy pass rusher and beat him off the edge.
  • His long frame, arms, and athleticism permitted him to compensate for the poor setting, but the EDGE rushers at the next level will be licking their chops if this continues.
  • He will need to bulk up his lower body against powerful bull rushers; some have pushed him back on his heels as he surrendered too much ground before dropping his counter anchor.
Draft Projection: 1st - 2nd Round

NFL Comparison: Brian O'Neil (Minnesota Vikings)
