#3 PARKER WASHINGTON VS OHIO ST (2022)

#3 PARKER WASHINGTON
JACK OF ALL TRADES
PENN ST NIFTY LIONS

strengths

  • When scouting Big Ten cornerbacks, he continued to pop up on the tape, embarrassing the defensive secondaries.
  • He is a wide receiver, a switch army knife with power, strength, shifty, and large hands.
  • He is very athletic, with swift feet and a body frame of a compact running back.
  • He has good strength and contact balance, a definite threat after the catch and runs.
  • He runs like a running back after the catch, with creativity in the open field with excellent vision.
  • He has relatively large hands, 10⅛" for a receiver of his size; he can contort his body to pluck balls thrown behind him, catch the low throws, and make the circus diving catches.
  • He runs above-average routes and is a skilled thinker in getting open, primarily when the pocket collapses.

weakness

  • One red flag on him is that he has big hands but relatively short 29" arms, which is a disadvantage for a quarterback window.
  • He must find a way to beat press coverages at the next level.
  • He has a minimal catch radius.
  • He does not possess top-end speed, and while in traffic, he will weave through instead of running away.
  • He needs to work on breaking down at the top of his routes, which causes quarterbacks to throw late.
Draft Projection: 3rd - 6th Round

NFL Comparison: Amari Rodgers (Houston Texans)
