#8 RONNIE BELL
2022 HIGHLIGHTS
MICHIGAN WOLVERINES

STRENGTHS

  • He is an adequate-sized receiver with a fluid build and length to compete.
  • He is a versatile player who can line up all over the formations at receiver, running back, and tight end at times.
  • He is a good route technician who can get in and out of his breaks, with excellent hip dipping and exploding of his speed-out routes.
  • He demonstrates that he can get vertical and separate from the defender in one-on-one scenarios.
  • He can track the ball down the field with over-the-shoulder catches.
  • When the quarterback is under duress, he can work back to the quarterback and get open.
  • He spent much time invading the field's middle with crossing routes. He has very reliable, strong hands that high point and snatch the ball out of the air.
  • Tremendous blocker in the open field to help spring a running back.

WEAKNESS

  • He suffered an ACL injury last season that ended his season early.
  • He needs to strengthen his frame with the same mental strength he has in his head.
  • He will struggle against press coverages by the more extended and physical cornerbacks at the next level.
  • His speed is limited; he will not be able separate off the snap in the NFL as he did at Michigan.
  • He does not provide a wide range of a catch radius and does damage on the move to the ball.
  • He needs to elevate better to make the necessary high-point catches when needed.
Draft Projection: 4th - 5th Round

NFL Comparison: Khalil Shakir (Buffalo Bills)
