Player Bio: ​Ronnie Hickman played at DePaul Catholic, located in West Orange, NJ. 
Hickman played wide receiver and safety at DePaul Catholic, and in his senior year, he totaled 26 receptions, 609 receiving yards, and nine touchdowns in an injury-shortened senior season. He recorded 19 tackles and five pass breakups. During his junior year, Hickman caught 44 passes for 809 yards and 10 touchdowns and contributed 44 tackles, two interceptions, and nine pass breakups his junior year on defense. He finished his career with 1,418 yards receiving on 70 receptions and 22 touchdowns. Hickman helped DePaul Catholic won New Jersey's Non-Public Group III state title as a junior in 2017. He participated in the 2019 All-American Bow. He also was an All-American lacrosse player in high school.

STRENGHTS

WEAKNESSES

• He has a flexible build, a nice frame, and excellent speed for the safety position; he will play primarily at the box.
  
• He is an active player with a high motor who will read and react to the run and plays to the whistle.
  
• He will fly downhill, twisting to avoid the big blockers and diagnose the play to strike the runner.
  
• His fluidity in the hips allows him to flip his hips and change direction with no problem.
  
• He has good ball-hawking and tracking skills to make the necessary plays on the ball.
  
• He can drop back in coverage and hover the seams and is athletic enough to get over the top for deep support as a single high safety.
  
• He can be in the slot, tight ends, sit in one coverage, and pick up the in-cuts and crossing routes.
  

• He will take poor angles to the ball, leading to him missing tackles. 
  
• He does not play with the intensity of a heavy-hitting safety, as he uses his creativity to avoid the block to time his tackle.
