2022 season highlights
Marshall thundering herd

strengths

  • He is truly an athletic player and has excellent strength for a defensive back of his size.
  • His above-average athleticism allows him to do many things in the secondary.
  • He is physically powerful for an undersized cornerback with concrete hand usage in press coverages.
  • He will stay glued to the hip of the receiver in and out of breaks and breaks up many passes.
  • Despite his height, he can compete as an outside corner.
  • A cerebral who will read the quarterback's eyes to make the break on the ball for potential turnovers or deflections.
  • He is a willing participant who will fly downhill to make run-support tackles on running backs.
  • He is an excellent tackler who will pursue good angles from the back side to make tackles.

weakness

  • He lacks the prototypical size for an outside NFL cornerback with his height and weight.
  • He struggles to mirror shifty receivers and is a beast on straight-line and out-cut routes but susceptible to double-move routes.
  • He will struggle to change direction due to high stiff hips that disallow him to flip his hips.
  • He does not jam the receiver in press coverage, he will get beat off the snap and rely on his athletic ability to recover.
  • He needs to maintain his inside technique with the receiver in man coverages.
  • He will probably need to make the roster as a NFL gunner or slot corner
Draft Projection: 7th Round - UDFA (PRIORITY)

NFL Comparison: Essang Basey (Denver Broncos)
