Ed "Pi Double i" HendersonWorldWide Rams This past Wednesday, the Los Angeles Rams hosted the San Diego Chargers in a scrimmage at UC Irvine. Over 4,000 fans were in attendance to watch the two teams go after each other offensively and defensively, as well as special teams. Tempers would flare early and often, several fights would break out, and the hated blood between the two teams would commence. To say the least, the fans would get their monies worth on that day in question, watching great hits, Gurley breaking a couple of runs, and undrafted free agent rookie receiver Shakeir Ryan, take a punt back to the house.
In this article, like to point out that the Rams has a great fan base, aside from the heckling at the opposition. However, there is one person that I'll take the time to acknowledge his hard work as well as his dedication to the Ramily nation. Living up north in the SF Bay Area, Wednesday morning I started my travel to my destination of the University of California Irvine. Approximately 120 miles from the university, I experience heavy traffic added three additional hours on my trip. Frustrating enough, I continued to push through and finally arrived at the scrimmage late, to say the least. The Rams organization were given three by two LA Rams flags to the first 3,500 fans in attendance, unfortunately arriving late, I missed out on that fan giveaway. Suddenly, that would change by a good-hearted Rams fan, whom I had the fortunate opportunity of meeting a couple of weeks prior during training camp. Gary "The Ram" Young (pictured above on the right), the founder of DIEHARD RAMS BOOSTER CLUB, after venting with him how I was late from the traffic, without any hesitation, reached into his pocket, pulled out the flag he received, and given it to me. I was quite stunned for a moment, is that I met this person for the first time and second time we greet, he practically gave me the shirt off his back. I'm extremely proud to say that this totally was a "great deed, that couldn't go unnoticed and I was grateful to have met this individual. I reached out to Gary this evening to thank him once again in regards to my gratitude to his kind thought. This is what he had to say in return: "Hey, thanks bro... we all do what needs to be done brother RAMS and Ramily are priority #1!" Gary "The Rams", even extended more of his love as a Ram Faithful: "Hey, you're more than welcome to join us in Lot 6 tomorrow... look for the DIEHARD banners. I explained to him that I would do my best but my family was coming out but they were Cowboy fans, his response even better: "So do we brother... our club has a fan-friendly policy.. we welcome diehards of any team as long as they can handle a few," who's house" chants lol" ... "we just ask for the same love in return... I believe we should have a dozen cowgirl fans as well." With this much love, I feel as if I'm already a member of the DIEHARD RAMS BOOSTER CLUB, and will definitely go and break bread with them someday. Gary "The Ram" Young, you are a great man and Ramily, and I'm forever indebted to you, "HORNS UP!"

I am grateful to say I personally know Gary the RAM. He is one of a kind, he is a the best club president, a great friend and a real DieHard with the best heart. A true friend I consider a brother.
