The Los Angeles Rams promote Trevon Young their sixth-round selection of the 2018 NFL Draft to the active roster. The rookie linebacker from Louisville originally was of the finalist of the Rams 53-man roster. However, he was only active in two games this season after being inactive against the New Orleans Saints.
Young who was only active against the San Francisco 49ers, recovered his first NFL fumble by quarterback C.J. Beathard. Rams added Donte' Fowler, and Young became dispensable. The Rams activated rookie linebacker Ogbonnia Okoronkwo from the PUP list and released Young to open a roster spot.
Youngs release became a shock to many however his return became expected. The promotion come on the same day the Rams placing defensive back Dominique Hatfield on the IR.
