Ed “Pi Double i” HendersonWorldWide Rams The Los Angeles Rams made a surprising move today, by promoting linebacker Carlos Thompson and releasing rookie linebacker out of University of Pittsburg Ejuan Price.
The Rams added Thompson this past spring as a free agency addition, to help at the linebacking position. The 6’5” linebacker, is in his second year from Ole’ Miss (University of Mississippi) and went undrafted in the 2015 NFL Draft. He would be signed later by the Houston Texans and released last season after injuring his knee. Thompson injured his ankle in the second pre-season game against the Oakland Raiders at the Oakland Coliseum, as a Raider blocker dove way late after a tackle was made and rolled his ankle causing a fracture. The Rams would waive Thompson at the final cuts, who cleared waivers, and then added to the practice squad. There has not been any word on how Thompson will be used on Sunday or even if he’s going to be active. However, if he’s part of the active roster, more than likely will be used on special teams.
