Player Bio: Antoine Winfield Jr is the son of the former NFL Pro Bowl defensive back Antoine Winfield senior. He prepped at The Woodlands High School in The Woodlands, TX. In his senior year, he made 87 tackles, forced five fumbles and two interceptions. He also averaged 21 yards as a punt returner and scored on a 92-yard punt return touchdown. He was named the Montgomery County Player of the Year after leading a defense that allowed only 7.4 points per game. Winfield Jr forewent his junior year and declared for the 2020 NFL Draft after having a tremendous season.

#11 Antoine Winfield JR HIGHLIGHTS

Strengths: He is a tremendously cerebral player who has excellent awareness of the game. He has a football bloodline, with a bulky and physical frame. He is an excellent player versatility to play at both safeties positions and as a slot corner. He has excellent speed with the ability to come downhill and sell out on the run in a hiccup notice. He is an excellent tackler that has good pop and does not miss many tackles. Rarely is he caught out of position and generally has to sweep up for others. He is a legitimate ballhawk who can play possum by reading the quarterback eyes and to break away to attack the ball. ​

Weaknesses: He has a short frame with shorter than average arms than expected of NFL defensive back. His height can become an issue against the taller and more reliable physical receivers. He needs to find better angles to the ball against the run. Had a few injury histories causing him to miss a significant amount of time from the field.
