HIS UNUSUAL SIZE AT 6’4" WILL BE TEMPTING FOR MANY, BUT I THINK THAT HIS FLAWS CAN CAUSE HIM TO FALL THIS LOW. HE IS A VERY GOOD PRESS COVER CORNER THAT MAKES UP HIS “LACK OF SPEED” (4.64 40 TIME) WITH HIS AGGRESSION AND BALL SKILLS, HIS LARGE ARMS AND FRAME COULD BE VERY USEFUL AT THE BEGINNING OF HIS CAREER, WHILE HE STILL LEARNS HOW TO ADJUST AND PLAY MORE ZONE COVERAGE. REMEMBER, RICHARD SHERMAN WAS LABELED AS BIG BUT SLOW AND DROPPED UNTIL THE 5TH ROUND, HE WAS AN INCH SHORTER THAN WILLIAMS, AND WE KNOW THE OUTCOME OF HIS CAREER, LET THEM SLEEP, LET US WIN |
third round
#99 CONNOR MCGOVERN OG PENN STATE
AGAIN, A TWO POSITION STARTER IN COLLEGE (GUARD/CENTER), HE HAS ADEQUATE SIZE FOR THE NFL AND IS A MAULER IN THE RUN GAME, BUT HAS MANY FLAWS THAT CAN BE ADDRESSED, ESPECIALLY COACHED BY A COAH SUCH AS AARON KROMER. I BELEIVE THE RAMS CAN DRAFT HIM, AND IF THEY LIKE EITHER NOTEBOOM OR ALLEN BETTER, THEY CAN GROOM HIM OVER THE NEXT COUPLE OF YEARS TO BE A NFL STARTING CALIBER INTERIOR OFFENSIVE LINEMAN. |
FOURTH ROUND
#133 DAVID MONTGOMERY RB IOWA STATE
I’M TAKING A FLYER HERE, AS I CURRENTLY THINK HE IS THE BEST, MOST COMPLETE RUNNING BACK IN THE DRAFT, BUT I’VE NOT SEEN HIM RANKED IN THE TOP 5 OF HIS POSITION ON MANY BOARDS. IF HE IS HERE AT THIS POINT, I WOULDN’T THINK TWICE IN PULLING THE PLUG. HE IS A TRUE THREE DOWN BACK, AS HE CAN RUN, MONTGOMERY CAN CATCH AND HE CAN BLOCK, BUT HIS LACK OF EXPLOSION IN THE OPEN FIELD CAN LURE SOME TEAMS AWAY FROM HIM. |
FIFTH ROUND
#169 DAYLON MACK DT TEXAS A&M
THERE ARE FEW TRUE NOSE TACKLES THAT I’VE SEEN THAT HAS THE FIRST STEP THAT MACK HAV., DON’T READ MUCH INTO HIS EARLY CAREER STATS; HE WAS PLAYING IN A SYSTEM THAT DIDN’T SUIT HIS GAME. HOWEVER, IN THE FINAL SEASON OF HIS COLLEGIATE CAREER, HE EXPLODED AND SHOWED THE WORLD THE BEAST HE CAN TRULY BECOME. HE IS A TRUE RUN STOPPER THAT NEEDS TO FINESSE HIS PASS RUSHING MOVES. PAIR HIM UP WITH AARON DONALD AND THEY WILL BE A NIGHTMARE DUO EVEN FOR THE BEST CENTER-GUARD DUOS IN THE LEAGUE; SPEED WOULD BE UNSTOPPABLE. |
SIXTH ROUND
203.- BEN BURR-KIRVEN LB WASHINGTON
I KNOW YOU WILL BASH ME FOR WHAT I’M ABOUT TO SAY, BUT KIRVEN IS THE BEST OFF BALL LB IN THIS CLASS. HIS LACK OF SIZE WILL MAKE HIM FALL DEEP. BUT HE REALLY MAKES UP HIS LACK OF SIZE WITH HIS VISION AND SPEED, THERE IS A REASON HE WAS THE NATIONS LEADING TACKLER, PLUS, HE PLAYED WITH COREY LITTLETON IN 2016, THE CHEMISTRY SURE WOULD HELP. BEST OFF-BALL LB IN THE CLASS GUYS |
SEVENTH ROUND
251.- LUKAS DENIS S BOSTON COLLEGE
TALK ABOUT CHEMISTRY, HIS FORMER TEAMMATE COULD BE HIS NEW ONE (JOHN JOHNSON III). A FORMER CORNER THAT TRANSITIONED WELL WITH BC’S COACHING STAFF MOVED HIM TO CORNER WITH HIS SMOOTHNESS AND ATHLETIC ABILITY. HE CAN BE A SINGLE HIGH SAFETY WHILE JOHNSON CRAWLS INTO THE BOX, AND HE CAN HOLD THAT FS POSITION IN A COUPLE OF GROOMING YEARS WITH PEACE. AS WE WILL BE FINE WITH NEW ARRIVAL ERIC WEDDLE, WHO'S BEEN TOUTED AS AN EXCELLENT TEAMMATE AND MENTOR, PERFECT FIT? HECK YEAH! |

His junior year would be named to the Class 6A All-State Second-Team. He would sign his intent with the University of Florida to collegiately. Polite received an invite to the 2019 NFL Combine but had a disappointing day there and his pro day siting that a bad hamstring was the cause of his poor performance.

#99 Jachai polite vs Florida St (2018)
Strengths: Very athletic with great size, and speed that allows him to make many tackles from behind. Has an explosive get, blowing past the tackle or tight end. A stockpile of moves, with counters, devastating spin move, or just extreme power as a bull rusher. Unique ability to get to the quarterback and great instincts to strip the ball wall making the sack. Has an elite bend while dropping hips and get around the corner with relative ease. Has the ability to contain the outside well against reverses, scrambling quarterbacks, deception plays.
Weaknesses:
Will struggle to disengage from blockers and get pushed around by massive blockers. Only played the EDGE for two years, will need more experience at the next level. Tend to tackles very high at times and not able to handle bigger pulling linemen.
Draft Grade: 5.46
Draft Projection: 4th Round
Does He Fit?: Yes, but will need to probably add 20 pounds of build to his body, as the Rams continue to look for playmaking EDGE Rushers. Polite has an upside but could be a one year project.

#8 Darrell Henderson vs ucf (2018 aac championship)
Strengths: A very elusive runner that is hard to tackle with a tremendous cutback or jump cut. Notably, slippery not allowing defenders to get direct hits on him by bouncing outside or dipping inside. Great balance even after a hit, and able to spin off the tackler for additional yards after contact. Has the ability to expedite his speed even after a stop or cut. Very fast, he can get into the second level quickly and hit the home run past the secondary. Moral strength who can below pad level and be the hitter aside from getting hit.
Has a grand vision to pick up necessary short yardage when nothing is available. Good hands, very dangerous in coming out of the backfield and productive with screens. Tremendous mix match on one on one coverage with linebacker or safety.
Weaknesses: Protecting the ball, has some fumble issues, especially as a receiver. Tends to run with the ball not protected, need to switch to, and keep the ball outside of the tackler's view. Too much speed can be an issue as a runner need to more patient when running inside the guards. Henderson will need to get better as a pass protector at the next level.
Draft Grade: 5.51
Draft Projection: 2nd-3rd Round
Does He Fit?: Yes, with all the news regarding Todd Gurley's arthritic knee, and the resigning of Malcolm Brown, Henderson can be a tremendous spark for the offense as well as a contingency plan. Not to take anything away from Brown, but Henderson tremendously has more of an upside than Brown. Henderson is a reminder of a back (Kareem Hunt) that hurt the New England Patriots week one of the 2017 NFL season openers. Excellent third-down back to help Gurley to get some rest or mix match against the defense.

#53 t.J. Edwards vs. Michigan (2017)
Strengths: Very productive college career in one of the country's top conferences. Technically sound tackler. Pretty good in zone coverage, and had ten career interceptions. Reads quarterbacks well and uses that ability to break up passes and make plays. Lots of experience in the big game again top opponents. As mentioned in his bio above, Edwards is a football player, a blue-collar guy who will stick his nose in there and make plays. His production in college far exceeds what we would expect from his combine numbers. A durable player who seems always to be ready to play and will not make stupid mistakes
Weaknesses: Edwards is neither especially big nor exceptionally fast, and he is not a "sideline to sideline" playmaker. While he is fine in zone coverage, he is not a guy we want to match up against an opponent in man coverage very often; he lacks the speed and athleticism for that. Might not be a "plug and play" guy who can start immediately.
Draft Grade: 5.47
Draft Projection: 4th-6th round
Does He Fit?: Yes, although he might have to make his mark on special teams at first. Edwards is a guy we can probably grab in the lower rounds and gradually work into the linebacker rotation. However, Corey Littleton took that path with the Rams as an undrafted free agent, and he has worked out pretty well

#15 D'Andre Walker vs. Tennessee (2018)
Strengths: Has the ability to be a pass rusher but dominate the run in backfield. As a pass rusher, has great inside gap moves to the quarterback. Ability to get underneath pass blocker to get around to the QB. Arsenal of moves to set up blocker and counter back inside. Great field presence and ability to bat down passes. Can provide the power of a bull rusher. Has to the ability to drop in coverage and be effective.
Weaknesses: Need to get stronger as a massive blocker will blow him away. Need to wrap up more effectively as a tackler oppose to go for kill shots. Will need to create better pass rushing moves at the next level. Hips not very fluid potentially could benefit with some type of off fields strength and pilotis courses.

High-motor guy who plays hard on every play until the whistle blows. Decent lateral quickness. Strong hands which he uses to sustain blocks. Good quickness gets into his set for pass blocking quickly.
Weaknesses: Didn't face top opponents in college, and some scouts feel he was able to cruise on size and athleticism rather than technique. Didn't play in a pro-style passing offense or against sophisticated NFL defenses. Will a guy who played college ball in Division Two be overwhelmed by the bright lights of the NFL? Probably more of a "project" than a "plug and play" guy
Draft Grade: 5.51
Draft Projection: 4th-5th Round
Does He Fit?: If the Rams are willing to exercise some patience with his development, sure. The upside to a talented player from a small school--and Pipkins is talented--is that he can be trained in the system and developed the way the coaching staff wants him to be. This isn't a star player from a "football factory" school and that isn't all bad

Manu Harari
Player Bio: Coming as a five-star recruit from Montgomery Carver High School, Wilson was recruited by several SEC schools, ultimately choosing the Crimson Tide to play for, where he was a key player for Alabama in helping them reach three of their four straight National Championship game appearances. Mack started off his college career red hot, playing in al 15 games on special teams, defense and briefly as a running back. As a Freshman on a defense that already consisted of current NFL Players today, such as Reuben Foster, Minkah Fitzpatrick, Marlon Humphrey, and Eddie Jackson, garnered eight totals tackles (five solo), one fumble recovery and one catch for a one-yard touchdown. By his sophomore season, Wilson had a bigger role, starting two of 12 games and missing two games because of a foot injury; despite not being a current starter, Mack hacked his way into being a contributor for the team, recording 40 total tackles (21 solos), two passes defended, and leading the team in interceptions with four, and adding a touchdown. He played arguably his best game of the season when it counted the most, vs Georgia in the National Championship Game, recording 12 tackles (seven solos) and two of his season total 2 1/2 tackles for loss in the game. Wilson carved himself a role on the team for what it was going to be his last college season by himself, having career high with 71 tackles ( five for loss), one sack, seven passes defended, while adding two interceptions to his already great season, earning him a spot as all 2nd team All-SEC.

#66 beau benzschawel vs. Iowa (2018)
Strengths: Ability to pull outside and with trap-blocking designs, that allows to display athleticism in the run game. Very durable and continues that same athleticism throughout the game. impressive ability to deceive the defender on screenplays allowing them with a clear path to the quarterback before releasing and setting up blocks down the field. Great control of his body and the ability to shed off pass rushers. Plays to the whistle and from great body control, seldom are not on the ground. Has a great vision on the field, in pass protection, constantly scanning the space around the pocket.
Weaknesses: At the next level strength will oppose an issue, necessary to bulk up and get stronger. If not, will only be an average lineman who can't clear out on short yardage. Need to work on setting anchor as is susceptible to spin moves. Tends to stay too tall in pass protection as defenders can dip underneath and decrease his power. Need to work on position feet against the defenders to avoid that issue. Need to gets out faster to the defenders as stunts and hard chops will beat him to the pocket.
Draft Grade: 5.53
Draft Projection: 3rd - 5th Round
Does He Fit?: Yes, when the Rams drafted Rob Havenstein, perhaps had the same issues that Benzschawel posses coming into the draft. However, Havenstein under the tutelage of line coach Aaron Kromer, has turned into one of the higher echelon of offensive tackles today. The unbelievably conditioning and strength that has turned Havenstein into a mauler will optimistically do the same for Benzschawel.
NFL Comparison: Alex Boone

Player Bio: Michael Jackson Sr prepped at Spain Park High School in Birmingham, AL where he was rated as the number cornerback in the State of Alabama. Jackson was selected to play in the All-Star game with the states of Alabama vs Mississippi. Jackson would lead all tacklers with 12 tackles in the game. Jackson set his reputation in the State of Alabama as one of the states most premier defenders and spurn the University of Alabama. He signed his intent to attend University Miami over Minnesota, Cincinnati, and Nebraska. Even from the state of Alabama, neither Auburn or Alabama offered Jackson a scholarship. He would receive an offer from Clemson at the last moment but stayed with Miami. Jackson’s ability to finish a receiver’s route, track the ball in the air and ultimately create a turnover or incomplete were just a few of his admirable qualities. That type of ability showed during the years he was on the field wearing the "Turnover Chain."

Strengths: Very talented and a around great athlete. Ability to cover any sized receiver with any type of routes including crossing routes and the ability to close on the ball. Very physical, has good fluid hips, and the ability to come out the break. Excellent speed, and cover well in both and man coverages. Very aggressive tackler and plays with top speed.
Weaknesses: Tends to get lost in coverages when suppose to be in zone is in man, blowing the coverages. Tends to overpusues the action and leaving others out to dry.
Draft Grade: 5.45
Draft Projection: 6th Round
Does He Fit? Yes, has the great size and strength that is expected from the press coverage corner Wade Phillips expect. Ability to break on the ball on shallow crossing routes can turn him into good slot corner.

Player Bio: Jackson started four seasons as a quarterback at Mona Shores High School; he finished fifth in Michigan history, both in passing yards and touchdowns; he earned first team all-state in his senior season, before leaving to the Buffalo Bulls.

In his sophomore season, he started eight games (missed four due to a knee injury) and improved a lot from his first year as a starter, throwing for 2,096 yards and 12 touchdowns by only three interceptions) 60% completion rate), and adding 197 yards on the ground with four touchdowns in 47 attempts. With a good return for his junior season in 2018, Jackson started all 14 games, and threw for 3,131 yards, 28 scores and just 12 interceptions (55% completion rate) and ran for 161 yards and seven touchdowns in 55 carries, earning the MAC Offensive Player of the Year award. Jackson planned to transfer as a graduate for the 2019 season, however, after thinking it well thru the offseason, he decided to enter the 2019 NFL Draft, instead of playing another year of college football.

#5 Tyree Jackson vs. Temple (2018)
Strengths:
-Big hands and tall frame that might lure some teams.
-Good, big arm. Can sling it deep.
-Showed velocity and anticipation in his throws.
-Double threat QB that can make damage on the ground.
-Good progression reading.
-Great mobility to stretch plays.
-Can throw off-balance when needed.
Weaknesses:
-Low accuracy.
-Footwork non-existent.
-Lack of touch on deep balls.
-When pressured, he prefers to throw a 50-50 throw, rather than take the sack.
-When coverage is tight, he struggles to make his reads
Draft Grade: 5.29
Draft Projection: 4th --5th (should go 5-7)
Does He Fit?: YES: Jared Goff under control for the next two years, (hopefully longer) the Rams are in no need to add a starting quarterback. McVay can draft a guy who has a big arm and some desirable traits for developmental QB's; he has all the physical tools that coach love, but he needs to work in his accuracy and pocket footwork if he wants to ever start a game in the NFL. His size and running ability will get him some suitors sooner rather than later. With the right coaching staff (McVay) he could be ready to take the league by surprise in a couple of years.

#11 vosean joseph vs. lsu (2018)
Strengths: Has the excellent ability to become passive when diagnosing and reacting to the play. Has an urgent explosion as a speed rusher while exploding through the run gaps as a blitzer. Has very active hands to free himself from the more significant blockers even with swipes and chops.
Plays fast on the field with above-average lateral agility and to settle down on backs that cutback against the grade. He plays with a lot of aggression and intensity on the field. He has an effective sideline-to-sideline range and tremendous closing speed. Has excellent ability to keep the play in front of him to make the play on the carrier. High awareness as a pass defender, the tremendous upside for the linebacker.
Weaknesses: Needs to bulk up his body, the thin built frame can use more weight and body mass. Will get mauled by the massive lineman ascending into the second level. Despite diagnosing plays well, will shoot through the wrong gap allowing significant gains. Tends to go for the kill hit oppose to wrapping up. Will bite on play action plays, becoming a liability in man coverage. Potentially can be moved from linebacker to the strong safety position.
Draft Grade: 5.50
Draft Projection: 2nd - 3rd Round
Does He Fit?: Yes, still looking for the inside presence at linebacker, is athletic prospect with an above average initial burst that enables him to close on ball-carriers rather easily. If he can put on more bulk, can become a force to reckon with on the field.

#75 Chris lindstrom vs. Miami (2018)
Strengths: Lindstrom would be a very safe pick because he has no glaring flaws in his overall game and no red flags in terms of off the field behavior. He is considered especially well-suited to the zone blocking scheme the Rams feature, so in that regard, he would be a perfect fit. A smart player who will do his job and not make stupid mistakes. Remarkably athletic for an interior lineman, Lindstrom moves well laterally and gets off the ball quickly. He also picks up blitzes well and excels as a run-blocker. A robust, technically sound player who plays through the whistle and usually wins his one on one battles. An experienced player with the genetics and background that should prepare him well for the NFL. Considered a "plug and play' guy who could start immediately.
Weaknesses: There is some question about Lindstrom's versatility, with some scouts holding the opinion that he is strictly a guard, others thinking the couple plays tackle or center if needed (he did play some tackle at BC). While Lindstrom is certainly not weak, he can be overpowered at times by more massive defensive lineman. The lineman does not have the size of a massive "road-grader" interior lineman.
Draft Grade: 5.92
Draft Projection: 1st Round
Does He Fit?: If the Rams are looking specifically for someone to replace Rodger Saffold at guard, Chris Lindstrom Jr. could be a perfect choice. His skill set also meshes well with the zone-blocking scheme favored by the Rams offensive line. There is some question as to whether he will be available when the Rams pick at 31 in the first round, and he pretty likely will be gone by the third round when the Rams pick again (barring a trade).

#55 Iosua Opeta vs north dakota (2018)
Strengths: A solid player, as his physicality is durable at the next level, as he demonstrated his strength at the combine. As a blocker, he is still productive at the second level. Ability to plug the gaps by speedy or bull rushers. Very consistent with blocking targets and stay square to mirror the defender. Block well in space and athletic enough to get out and extend the speedy pass rushers.
Weaknesses:
Need to develop better footwork at the next level, lateral movement is choppy. At the tackle position, will need to bulk up for the powerful pass rushers at the next level. Does not demonstrate a strong punch, as he needs to use his hands more brutally. Need to work on anchoring his weight that limits his ability to produce leverage. Need to work on diagnosing blitz and stunts moves by the defensive side of the ball.
Draft Grade: 5.00
Draft Projection: 5th Round
Does He Fit?: Yes, a dominant and physical player who may be transitioned into a guard to help assist in the run game. Still a project, but does have the potential to become a quality backup and on special teams.
NFL Comparison: Kelvin Beachum

#22 Sheldrick redwine vs. boston college (2018)
Strengths: A versatile player who started off as a corner and switched to safety. Has the ability to cover in man-to-man coverage and ability to play on tight ends or in the slot against bigger receivers. A very physical player that is a solid tackler that don't miss. Very aggressive and ability to pluck the ball out the air to prevent receptions. Very athletic and the ability to blitz from the slot and be very impactful. Great range with excellent leaping ability.
Weaknesses: Lacks the skill in zone coverage where processing his reads are a bit hesitant limiting as an impact. Gives up too much cushion which can be exploited by skilled receivers. Despite being a good tackler, tends to lunge out toward the runner. Very limited on breaking on routes and depend on making the tackle. Needs to be more of a playmaker with his size, speed, and leaping ability.
Draft Grade: 5.55
Draft Projection: 4th Round
Does He Fit?: Yes, as a former corner could see more in the 3-4 Rams defensive scheme. Has the ability to play all over the field can be a great upgrade in the defensive backfield. Can be a successul special teams player who will impactful.

#15 chase winovich vs. notre dame (2018)
Strengths: Winovich has the kind of high-motor, an all-out approach that coaches like in a defensive lineman. Good quickness and above average pursuit skills. Hard-hitting, aggressive player who does not take plays off. Not afraid to stick his nose in there and do the 'grunt" work needed to blow up a play, even if others get credit for the tackle. He uses his hands well, which played in one of the top conferences in the country against talented opponents. Lots of big-game experience, and after playing in front of crowds of 100,000 in home games at Michigan, Winovich is not likely to find the NFL stage too intimidating. Enjoys tackling. Good citizen off the field with no red flags.
Weaknesses: Played in a 4-3 defense at Michigan, probably would have to play outside linebacker with the Rams because of his size. That also means learning a new defense. The player was not required to be in pass coverage at Michigan. Can sometimes be overwhelmed by more massive blockers. By being he so aggressive, Winovich can sometimes get misled on counters and trick plays and get out of position. Athletic enough, but does not have the elite athleticism of some of the likely top picks at his position. College sack numbers were good, but not great.
Draft Grade: 5.75
Draft Projection: Third Round
Does He Fit?: Yes, but he might not start right away because he will have to learn the Wade Phillips 3-4 defense. Winovich has the warrior attitude coaches love and no glaring weaknesses. It is not hard to see the Rams grabbing Winovich with one of their two third-round picks, especially if they do not take an edge player before that point.

#42 christian wilkins vs. Boston college (2018)
Strengths: Versatile player who could play anywhere on a defensive line in either a 4-3 or 3-4 alignment. Excellent athleticism, especially for a man his size. Intelligent player who got his degree in only two and a half years. Good lateral movement and surprising agility. Able to drop into coverage in zone-blitz schemes. Can knock down passes, having batted down 15 passes in his time at Clemson. He gets good leverage in battles with an offensive lineman. As a team leader, has a reputation as a good citizen and a positive locker-room presence Has played well in big games in college, including the national championship game
Weaknesses: Had trouble when facing double teams in college. Does not have what some would consider ideal length. Despite Wilkins size, some question his lower body strength. As with all players who are surrounded by elite-level talent (as he was at Clemson), there are questions about whether he will be as dominant when the players around him are not far superior to opposing teams.
Draft Grade: 6.12
Draft Projection: First round
Does He Fit?: Yes, but whether he will be available when the Rams pick at 31 in the first round is very questionable.

Just days before the 2018 NFL Draft last season, the Los Angeles Rams pulled off of a trade with the New England Patriots by sending their 30th overall pick for wide-receiver Brandin Cooks. It was a no brainer of a trade, where the Rams were in desperate need for a deep threat wideout, and the no player in the draft was worth taking in the first round.
The Rams gained the most from Cooks at he put another yet another season of over 1,000 yards, and 1,200 for the season. Cooks would contribute to help the Rams make it to the Super Bowl to only lose to his former team.
The Seattle Seahawks have announced that they will be seeking at least a first-round selection for their beast of a pass rusher Frank Clark. Will the Rams entertain that thought for the second season in a row, or stick to their script and use their 31st overall selection for a run-stuffing defensive tackle or safety.
They definitely will consider the thought but, we will find it very hard to believe that Seattle's Seahawk head coach Peter Carroll would allow the trade within the NFC West division. However, we have seen stranger scenarios before in this league, anything is possible.

#31 Jahlani tavai vs. Wyoming (2018)
Strengths: An instinctive player that established the ball and works angry to make the tackle. Great knack for the ball and plays well in a crowd that sells out his body during blitzing. A very tough linebacker that is very disciplined on the field that controls the field. Very strong, has good feet week and keep excellent pad level with hands.
Weaknesses:Tends to get caught on his heels while anticipating traffic and surrenders yardage and the opportunity to deliver an impact play. Don't run through the ball carriers and often drag-down tackler who can be bounced around in space. Doesn't have notable closing speed and labors when asked to work sideline-to-sideline. Cannot be trusted in coverage, especially covering backs out the backfield.
Draft Grade: 5.70
Draft Projection: 4th Round
Does He Fit?: Yes, a true run stopper that is definitely is what the Rams will need to play in the middle. Sort of remind you of another former University of Hawaii and former Rams Pisa "Hawaii Five-O" Tinoisamoa. Can come in contribute on special teams immediately and become a quality backup

#8 Will Harris vs Florida St (2018)
Strengths: A cerebral player who is very disciplined on the field and instinctive. who stays with assignments. A player who is very strong and physical that can separate ball from the receivers and running backs. Excellent range with the ability to close on receivers to bat away passes. Has perfect angles to the action that plays downhill fast. Excellent blitzer that get homes and delivers hits on the qb early and often. Has great hand strength and the ability to strip the ball.
Weaknesses: With the ability to play in man coverage, tends to strain in man coverage or when his head turned away from the ball. Does tend to lead with the head when tackling and loves to run through players halfway to the ground, that will lead in an unsportsmanlike penalty at the next level.
Draft Grade: 5.36
Draft Projection: 5th Round
Does He Fit?: Yes, a versatile safety that play down in the box or up top as a deep covering safety with great speed, can blend in well in a Rams quarters, nickle, or dime coverages. #11 david long vs. oklahoma st (2017)
Strengths: Ability to process plays well and attack the ball carrier. A playmaker when attacking the line of scrimmage. The ability to absorb blocks with a low center gravity and shed to block to make the tackle. Ability to slice through potential blockers and lay hat while playing downhill. Very athletic and has good sideline to sideline pursue. A tackling machine, just make play after play.
Weaknesses: Despite making a lot of tackles, he does tend to whiff by not wrapping up the runner. Need to run through ball carrier with legs instead of trying to wrestle to the ground. Despite the excellent lateral movement, does tend to not be able to scrape off blocks toward the sideline. Will need to work on angle pursuit and avoid blockers to the ball. Will need to work on coverage skills, can get lost in man coverage.
Draft Grade: 5.47
Draft Projection: 6th Round - UDFA
Does He Fit?: Yes, mixed in between a strong safety and a 3-4 schemed inside linebacker, such as the Rams used with Mark Barron, can fill that position. Does have more pro's and con's when coming up as run filler.
