Player Bio: Jahan Dotson attended Nazareth Area High School, located in Nazareth, PA.  During his career, he set school receiving records for 187 receptions, 2755 receiving yards, and 40 receiving touchdowns at Nazareth Area.  In his senior year, Dotson reeled in 62 catches for 889 yards and 15 touchdowns.  He garnered the USA Today's All-USA Pennsylvania Football First-Team, Pennsylvania Football Writers Class 4A all-state first team, Pennsylvania Football News (PFN) All-Class 6A first team, Eastern Pennsylvania Conference (EPC) South Most Offensive Valuable Player EPC South Division All-Star, EPC South Division All-Star as a wideout, All-Mid-Atlantic Prep League first team, and received an invite to the Big 33 Game.  He excelled in basketball and track & field while winning the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association state championships in the 4x100 relay and the long jump.  Dotson became Nazareth's first PIAA individual champion since 1970 and won the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference crown in the 100 and 200 meters and the 4x100 relay in 2018.

Strengths
  • He is a dangerous, fearless, and dynamic playmaker equipped with excellent speed and shiftiness.
  • His impressive ESPN's Play of the Day highlighted-reel catches never seems to amaze.
  • He is small in stature but plays big with the ability to score with any catch on the field.
  • He is a fearless competitor who will go across the middle for the tough catches in traffic.
  • He runs dynamic pass-routes to get open and consistently creates sudden separation from the defender.
  • He can separate the defense roof in a hurry and threaten it vertically.
  • He has excellent soft hands that he rips the ball out of the air and rarely allows it to touch his body.
  • He has a wide-catch radius for the quarterback and an excellent ability to track the ball down the field.
  • He will challenge to win most 50-50 balls thrown in his direction with his excellent leaping ability.

Weaknesses
  • He is a bit undersized receiver with a small frame, and can his body sustain the hard hits at the next level.
  • The slot receiver position may be his actual position at the next level
  • Taller and stronger defensive backs at the next level may cause him to struggle off the line in press coverages.
  • He does not break tackles and will be downed by arm tackles.
  • He will not fight for extra yardage in the middle of the field; he typically will go down at the catch-point.
