Player Bio: Darius Rush prepped at C.E. Murray High School in Greeleyville, SC. At C.E. Murray High, Rush played on offense and defense, caught 47 passes for 863 yards and 17 touchdowns, rushed for 125 yards and a touchdown, and returned a kickoff for a touchdown as a senior. He had 1,243 all-purpose yards and 18 total touchdowns as a junior, rushed for 612 yards and 12 touchdowns, and caught 14 passes for 228 yards and three touchdowns, 36 tackles, and two interceptions. Rush led the War Eagles to an 11-2 record and the Class A Lower State finals. He garnered the Region 5-A co-Player of the Year and PrepStar All-Atlantic Region team. Rush was selected to play in the Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas following his senior season.

STRENGTHS

• He has the prototypical size, speed, perfect length to his frame, and long arms for an NFL cornerback.
• He is a lockdown corner who consistently plays defense in press coverage, man coverage, or trailing the receiver.
• He is impressive in covering receivers as if he puts a king-size blanket on a twin-size bed.
• He can locate the ball and make breaks on the ballon or bat them down.
• The receivers rarely get the opportunity to beat him on deep throws as he uses his long arms to bat away passes.
