WORLDWIDE RAMSEd "Pi Double i" Henderson The Los Angeles Rams have unrestricted free agent cornerback Troy Hill to a two-year deal. Hill's contract has a base value of $5.25M and would receive a $3M bonus if he plays 52.5% of snaps on defense next season.
Hill went undrafted in the 2015 NFL Draft and signed with the Cincinnati Bengals as UDFA. The Bengals released Hill, and the Rams signed him to the team where he has played the last three season. It did not go smooth for Hill where a DUI involving an accident led to his arrest the 2016 season. The Rams suspended Hill for that Sunday's game and then released him the next following day. However, with injuries to the defensive backfield, Rams would give Hill a second chance and signed him to the practice squad. Hill was promoted to the 53-man roster and later started a couple of games. Hill has stepped up and played in some good games as a starter and as a reserve. The Rams have a defensive backfield this season with returning reserves players such as Nikel Robey-Coleman, Dominque Hatfield, Kevin Peterson, Dont'e Deayon, Ramon Richards, Darious Williams, and fourth-round selection rooking David Long from the University of Michigan.
