Player Bio: Sheldrick Redwine prepped at Miami Killian Senior High School in Miami, FL. Redwine played cornerback and nationally ranked as the #43 cornerback his senior recording 33 tackles, seven interceptions (one interception return for TD), 13 pass deflections and numerous punts and field goal blocks. His current teammate Jaquan Johnson was his teammates at Killian before committing to Miami. Redwine received numerous offers from schools as he formally committed and decommits to West Virginia and Louisville. He received offers from Miami, Louisville, Arkansas, Kentucky, USF, Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, Appalachian State, and Texas before finally committing to the Miami Hurricanes.

#22 Sheldrick redwine vs. boston college (2018)

Strengths: A versatile player who started off as a corner and switched to safety. Has the ability to cover in man-to-man coverage and ability to play on tight ends or in the slot against bigger receivers. A very physical player that is a solid tackler that don't miss. Very aggressive and ability to pluck the ball out the air to prevent receptions. Very athletic and the ability to blitz from the slot and be very impactful. Great range with excellent leaping ability.

Weaknesses: Lacks the skill in zone coverage where processing his reads are a bit hesitant limiting as an impact. Gives up too much cushion which can be exploited by skilled receivers. Despite being a good tackler, tends to lunge out toward the runner. Very limited on breaking on routes and depend on making the tackle. Needs to be more of a playmaker with his size, speed, and leaping ability.

Does He Fit?: Yes, as a former corner could see more in the 3-4 Rams defensive scheme. Has the ability to play all over the field can be a great upgrade in the defensive backfield. Can be a successul special teams player who will impactful.
