#44 cameron mcgrone vs minnesota (2020)

#44 cameron mcgrone highlights

Strengths: He has perfect size with muscular built to his frame and good height. He is unique as he plays so well in tight space with short-area quickness. He takes excellent angles to the ball and makes perfect form tackling. He has over-average sideline-to-sideline speed. He will shoot the gaps or sell his body to stack blocks and disengage with moves dipping and bend underneath. He posses some coverage ability.

Weaknesses: He will need to work on his pass coverage skills at the next level or not be a three-down linebacker. He does not look comfortable playing against big tight ends down the field. His mechanics will need to improve; he does not get his head around quickly and does not track the ball well. He will need to increase bulk to his frame that will help him over his career.
Draft Projection: 2nd Round - 3rd Round

#67 d'ante smith vs old dominion (2018)

#67 D'ante smith senior bowl highlights

Strengths: He is versatile and has a nice stout frame to his body that is ideal for an NFL offensive lineman. He has a mean streak and plays with a poisonous intellect. At the point of attack, he will display his strength and power with his long arms to help maul the defender in the trench. As he engages with the defender, he has the precise control to direct them in any direction he chooses to drive. He is fluid and has an excellent ability to climb up to the second level and isolate the linebackers. He played both guard and tackle positions, giving teams a concept to rate him before draft day.

Weaknesses: He will need to increase his workload with his footwork and improve his blocking stability. He will struggle at times to seal the edge because of the lousy footwork. He will need to recognize the defensive fronts sooner when the defense flips from one to the other. He struggles to read the defense allowing him to compromise his inside gap responsibility. It may be a one-year project to sharpen up his fundamentals and skill set.

#3 Grant stuard vs UCF (2020)

#3 grant stuard 2019 highlights

Strengths: He is a player who loves to stick his nose in all the business on the field. He will fly all over the field to get to the ball as he comes downhill full speed. He is tremendously quick and plays with a lot of aggression and a chip on his shoulder every down. He loves to hit and a great knack against the run that delivers with many productions. He will lay the wood on any size back or tight end and usually delivers a knockout. He will play on special teams and will be his key to make an NFL roster.

Weaknesses: He needs to add weight and bulk up to his undersized frame. He will struggle at the next level in filling gaps. He is not fluid in the hips that will compromise his parallel movement on the field. He will struggle in diagnosing the run very pass generally catching him out of position in play action pass. He will get washed out by the bigger offensive linemen; the extra weight and bulk will do him justice.

Draft Projection: 6th Round to UDFA

#52 GARRET WALLOW vs iowa st (2020)

#30 GARRET WALLOW CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

Strengths: He is a tremendous versatile athlete that converted to an inside linebacker after starting his career as a safety. He has great mechanics as he displays lovely fluid hips that allow him to flip explode of his stance. It is exceptional to watch how he can maneuver around blocks to make tackles. He will disengage from blocks or will recover when blind-sided to make tackle opportunities. He does not miss many tackles as he does solo after solo tackles. He has the talent to cover tight ends and backs out of the backfield with blanketing coverage. He has sideline-to-sideline speed to track plays from behind.

Weaknesses: He needs to improve on his angles to the ball and work on open-field tracking. Despite being an excellent tackler, he will struggle in the open field with one-on-one situations. He will get off base and anticipate the plays allowing huge run gaps. He needs to work on shedding blocks from the giant lineman that will wash him out of the play. He is a bit undersized and will need to bulk up and put on weight.

GAME FILM
#9 TRAVIS ETIENNE VS. Boston College (2019)

#9 Travis Etienne 2020 Highlights

Strengths: He is an exceptionally talented running back who can beat a team in all three phases of the game. A complete running back that is explosive, shifty, has excellent burst, physically strenuous, and can shift from one speed to the next. He can hit the open hole and get to the next level and go to another gear for the long run. He will run the ball in space and tight windows with the ability to make the defender miss. Arm tackles will not bring him down as he will run right through them. He has excellent and reliable hands out the backfield or in the slot. Dangerous weapon on special teams as well will complete all three phases of his game.

Weaknesses: He needs to add some bulk to his upper body; there have been concerns with turnovers. His lower body excellent; however, strengthening his upper body will minimize the turnovers. He will tend to run into holes that have not developed, need to reserve patience, and develop better vision. He is not fundamentally sound as a pass protector; the bulk he adds will contribute to becoming a secure protector.

GAME FILM
#0 Gary Brightwell VS COLORADO (2020)

#0 Gary Brightwell highlights (2020)

Strengths: He is a strong, powerful running back built to run inside the tackles. He will be that primary short-yardage back to pick up first downs or touchdowns. His first steps are exceptional as he hits the line at full throttle, a no-nonsense runner who enjoys running North-to-South.  He has a little nasty to him with shifty cuts and has the speed to get outside the tackles. He will run with power unfeared and will lower his shoulder to run over the defender.

Weaknesses: His playing time on the field was limited, and he can not be trusted to have an abundance of carries. Did not start in college and had limited yardage during his prep career. He runs at one speed, fast, and will not let his blocks develop. He will not break a long run will be caught from behind. He has minimal skills out the backfield as a receiver. Need to develop on pass blocking, horrendous in picking up blitz and stunts.

GAME FILM
#27 Richie Grant VS HOUSTON (2020)

#27 Richie Grant UCF HIGHLIGHTS

Strengths: He is another one of those versatile defensive backs in this draft who has excellent athletic ability. When viewing his film, it unique how he plays the game with elevated skill. He recognizes offensive sets and able to play quarterback by setting up the defenses. He is a consistent tackler who makes plays. He will come downhill fast, sometimes too fast, and run into blocks get knocked off the play. He is very aggressive and sometimes will hurt himself in coverage, especially in the red zone.

Weaknesses: He has average speed and can be used and abused by speedy receivers. He has short arms, and his size is not ideal. He lacks the sideline-to-sideline speed to run with receivers.

#13 joshua kaindoh career highlights

Strengths: He has impressive size for the defensive end position and has a nice bulky frame. He is solid and can set the edge with his long wingspan and free himself from blocks. He is explosive and has an exceptional bend and dip to get underneath the offensive lineman. He uses an arsenal of moves such as swim, rips, club, and bull rush. He uses his initial speed to beat the tackles outside to create tremendous pressure in the backfield.

Weaknesses: Despite the upside to his talent, he has very inconsistent against the run. He will struggle to disengage off the block to slip down to the runner. He had an injury-riddled career, and his production was horrible with his talent. He will need to would on his mechanics and technique, especially as a pass rusher. His arsenal is there, but it seems uncertain which one to use at the particular time.

#1 Kelvin Joseph 2020 highlights

Strengths: He has the size and length of the prototype NFL cornerback. Joseph, equipped with excellent speed, explosiveness, aggressiveness, and physical, will give a team great depth at defensive back. He uses his size and strength in press coverage to his advantage with a strong punch and jam to the receiver and using the sideline as his best friend. He uses his eyes well while staying low, reading the quarterback's reaction. He reacts well to the ball and will break on most throws. He is fearful and sticks his nose in traffic to deflect or jar balls loose or make tackles. He can play on an island by himself and is trusted in man coverages in red-zone situations. He will not get beat deep as he will cover the speediest receiver on the team. His impressive pro-day posting a sub 4.40 forty and 35-inch vertical open the eyes of many NFL scouts at his pro day.

Weaknesses: He will display lethargic techniques while in coverage. He tends to backpedal too high that will compromise his breaks in getting to the receiver's route. He can look nervous at times, become jumpy, and susceptible to double moves. He has limited flexibility and bends in his drop, causing him to play upright. He will pursue the ball with pitiable angles and will be inconsistent in tackling. Tackling technique will need to be redefined at the next level if he intends to stay on the field at the NFL level.

#58 Christian Barmore vs Notre Dame (2021)

#59 Christian Barmore highlights (2019)

Strengths: He is tremendously athletic for a defensive lineman for his size. That talent shined in the BCS National Championship as it displayed how explosiveness off the snap of the ball increasing his stock. His explosiveness allows him to disrupt the run game and the timing on passing downs. His get-off demands double-team blocking assignments from his savvy movement and power. He moved pretty well; it showed Alabama's pro day after running a sub-five-second forty-yard dash and increased his stock even higher.

Weaknesses: He will need to add more strength and power to his frame. He will rely on his natural strength and speed to out-slick the offensive linemen. He struggled against the bigger lineman that can handle him one-on-one blocking schemes. He needs more power and will need to add a bull rush maneuver to his game.

#14 Sage Surratt vs UNC (2019)

#14 SAGE SURRATT 2019 HIGHLIGHTS

Strengths: He is a tall rangy receiver that is good height in the NFL, with excellent strength. Press coverage defensive backs are pushed right out the way off the line of scrimmage with his phyicality. He uses his height well, as he gives the quarterback a huge window with his wide catch radius. He is able to high-point the ball at it highest point and will come down with majority of 50/50 balls. He has great concentration when catching ball and unfazed by the hits across the middle. He is an excellent blocker downfield and will maintain the block until the end of the play. Huge red-zone target that he excelled at Wake Forest.

Weaknesses: He does not scare the defense off the line of scrimmage, does not accelerate well, and lacks the long speed. He is not twitchy off the line and will give the defender a fair advantage of chucking him off the line. When running his routes, he struggles to break in and out to allow a defender at the next level to use his security blanket. He will create any separation or any shake after the catch. He cannot get positive yardage after the catch, usually settling for his catch.

Jalen Twyman vs Syracuse (2019)

#97 Jaylen Twyman highlights (2019)

Strengths: He has to be one of the most physical and most vital defensive linemen in this 2021 NFL Draft. He is very productive as a rusher, requiring double-teams to neutralize his strength. He has excellent leverage to eat up space and to cause havoc to the offense. He works with a high motor to continue his path to the quarterback. He is a legitimate run stuffer and will control his gaps. On his pro day, he bench pressed 225-pounds 40 times.

Weaknesses: He has excellent strength but needs to bulk up for the next level and add about 10-pounds to his frame. He sustains a good anchor and gets stood up by the taller and stronger lineman. He appears only to be a pass rusher from the interior. He will lose his plant leg and double-team washing him out of the play. He a bit slow off the snap giving up leverage.

GAME FILM
#79 JACKSON CARMAN VS Notre Dame (2020)

Strengths: He has excellent height and frame for an NFL offensive lineman. He is explosive off the line as he can open up run lanes and seal the edge. What is even more impressive of him is that he is a competent pass blocker. He is content at his trade as he can display his strength as he drives the pass rusher out the way, adjust to his arc in space, and keeps his arms extended. He is a cerebral player that can recognize the blitz and stunts and make additional adjustments. He seldom will be overpowered by the pass rusher trying to get to the quarterback.

Weaknesses: He is coming off an offseason back surgery, and not sure if he will still have some mobility and may need to convert to the guard position. He tends to lunge out at the pass rusher and will get off-anchored. His hand placement can be more refined as he will get them too wide. Premier pass rushers may cause him to struggle because of his limited agility and footwork to slide. He will look to maul the rusher and will get thrown off; need to establish more patience.

WorldWide rams

Doug Nelson

Picture
Player Bio: Creed Humphrey is a native of Shawnee, OK., who has been competing as a wrestler since the age of four. He was rated as a three or four-star recruit, choosing Oklahoma over Alabama and Oklahoma State, among others. He was a three-year starter for the Sooners, winning accolades as one of the better centers in the country. There is little doubt that he would fit with a Rams team that lost starting center Austin Blythe to free agency. Whether he will be available at pick number 57 when the Rams have their first selection is highly questionable.

#56 Creed Humphrey vs florida (2020)

#56 Creed HUMPHREY senior bowl highlights

Strengths: Humphrey is a robust and intelligent player who does not make many mistakes. He has lots of experience, including big-game experience against top-shelf opponents. Creed played for a prolific passing offense and is used to holding his ground against bull-rushing or stunting pass rushers. He uses his hands well, and as a wrestler, has a good understanding of leverage. Humphrey is a player that can plugin as a rookie and not worry about talent. Although the Rams would appear to have a more significant need at center, he can also play guard.

Weaknesses: Not many, but he is not the most athletic guy, even for an interior lineman. While Humphrey is plenty strong enough to play the position, he is not the kind of “mauler” some teams like on the interior line. Maybe his biggest “weakness’’ from Ram's point of view is the question of whether they want to take a center with their top selection. If they pass on him at 57, they may not get another chance. They are not known to have interviewed Humphrey and only conducted one interview with a center, Quinn Meinerz of Wisconsin-Whitewater. They seem more interested in wide receivers and defensive backs.

Draft Projection: 1st - 2nd Round

GAME FILM
#24 israel mukuamu vs Texas A&M (2020)

#24 israel mukuamu highlights

Strengths: He is extremely long, with excellent size, and a nice physical frame for an NFL cornerback. He uses his length and his strength to jam receivers in press man coverages. He gives the opposing quarterback a tiny window to throw contested passes for completions. He uses his long wingspan to knock down passes thrown away to receivers. He will come up and protect against the run and terminate the play immediately.

Weaknesses: He needs to work on his mechanic skills as he is choppy with his backpedal. He has slow reaction skills, and he struggles to open up and turn upfield. He is not very fluid and shows stiffness. He does not recognize the route well and susceptible to double moves.

Draft Projection: 5th Round

NFL Comparison: Amani Oruwariye (Detroit Lions)
