Player Bio: Alton Robinson attended Converse-Judson High School in Converse, TX, where he linebacker and defensive end since his freshman year.  In his junior year, he earned Judson's Defensive Player of the Year. In his senior year, he 44 tackles (23 for loss), 12 sacks, and four forced fumbles. Robinson played basketball and was on the school's track team. Robinson was selected as the 2016 AP 6A Honorable Mention All-State and earned a scholarship to Texas A&M University. Following an arrest, A&M rescinded his scholarship as he enrolled at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M. Robinson arrived at Syracuse and started 34 games producing 115 tackles (71 solos), 32 tackles for loss, 19 sacks, five pass deflections, five-forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries.​

Strengths: He has an immeasurable cerebral ability to measure and examine the run and pass. He has a significant amount of athletism to pursue the runner with enough presence in mind to eliminate any cutback plays. Will complex plays designed to go off-tackle and extend them outside. He does not hesitate to fill the gaps and sacrifice his body, taking on blocks to cause traffic. He has a tremendous explosion first step that will seize the ball carrier promptly. Large and powerful body to complimented quickness to create problems for pass protectors. Has an arsenal of moves to drive past pass protections. Very violent and disruptive with a significant bend to get to the quarterback suddenly.

Weaknesses: He can be a bit undisciplined and overpursues target. Inconsistency with his feet that needs work more. While having such explosiveness off the ball, he requires variety to compliment his speed. Can be a tad stiff while curving out losing his bend. He definitely will profit by combining more strength to develop against the run. His sideline-to-sideline speed is questionable and can work on better angles while in pursuance to the runner.
