Player Bio: Ashtyn Davis prepped at Santa Cruz High School in Santa Cruz, CA. Davis ran track for Santa Cruz High as he was the Central Coast Section 110-meters high hurdler champion in 2014. Besides, he placed fifth place in the state at both the 110 and 300-meters in high hurdles. Davis received a track scholarship to CAL and walked on to the CAL football team. Received a football scholarship after starting the last three games his redshirt freshman year at cornerback. Received invite to the Reese's Senior Bowl and NFL Combine.

Strengths: A safety that is very aggressive when the ball is the air and ability to knock away from the defender. He is an excellent tackler that his physical and wraps up well. He will take on blocks against the run and screens. He has experienced with play the single high-safety position—excellent Blitzer to the quarterback with great timing to decelerate avoiding penalties. A good specials team player who returns kicks.

Weaknesses: Davis suffered a severe injury to his groin in his senior year, which cause him to play sloppy. His angles were to shallow on deep outside patterns. He will need to improve on cover-1 skill against quicker wide-receivers. Have to find better routes to be able to disengage from blocks and better angles coming downhill against the run. Show tightness in the hip disallowing him to spin around instantly, but doe shows excellent recovery skills to get back.​
