Player Bio: Clarke played high school football at Taravella High School in the Miami area for coach Dan Marguerite. Like a lot of gifted high school players around the country, his coaches tried to get him on the field in a variety of roles, including safety, wide receiver, cornerback and return man. He has logged 20 pass breakups and a pick as a senior. Clarke Earned All-American All-Academic team honors in 2016-2017, so he is a very cerebral player.

​#14 NEVELLE CLARKE vs Stanford (2019)

Strengths: Smart, gritty player who is not afraid to work hard and conquer the task. Did not start at UCF until he was a junior, when he logged two interceptions, 13 passes broken up and 46 tackles. He has the right length for an NFL corner, although some think he needs to bulk up a bit. Clarke is considered a highly coachable player who is smart enough to pick up NFL defensive schemes. For a team like the Rams, he may be available as a lower rounds/college free agent kind of guy who could prove to be a ''diamond in the rough."

Weaknesses: Does not have blazing speed, and some scouts think he needs to bulk up a bit. Only two years as a starter in college. Most scouts have him listed somewhere in the '20s among NFL draft prospects at corner. Probably not a player who will become a starter in the NFL. Clark will have to win a roster spot from a sharp special teams display.

Draft Grade: 5.5

Draft Projection:  6th Round-UDFA

NFL Comparison: Troy Hill Rams. Clarke is a little taller but is similar in many ways in terms of 40 times and general ability out of college. Like Hill, he might take some time to develop.
