Player Bio: Feleipe Franks prepped Wakulla High School in Crawfordville, FL. In his senior year at Wakulla, he passed for 2766 yards and 35 touchdowns; he also rushed for 245 yards and four touchdowns. Franks also was the team kicker and punter, setting records in those two categories. He passed for 2249 yards with 28 touchdowns; he also rushed the ball 28 times for 425 yards and three touchdowns. Franks earned the Class 5A Second Team All-State honors in his junior and senior years. He received invites for the 2016 US Army All-American Bowl, 2015 Elite 11 Finalist, and Nike’s The Opening 2015 in Beaverton, Oregon. Franks was also a talented baseball player during his time at Wakulla High. The Boston Red Sox selected him with the 947th pick in the 31st round of the 2019 MLB Amateur Draft. He signed his letter of intent to play for the Florida Gators before transferring to Arkansas.

Strengths: He is the prototype of an NFL quarterback with his length and size. He has massive 10-inch hands that will protect the ball when dropping back or in inclement weather. He has a mighty arm that shoots like a rifle. He throws tight spirals even while on the run can deliver accurate passes. He is a good fit for RPO schemes because he can extend plays with his legs. He scrambles to avoid sacks while in the pocket and will hand in the pocket before delivering the ball. Great pocket awareness will go through his progression, reading off the safety to deliver safe and accurate passes. As a passer, he secures the ball; he only threw four interceptions his senior year on 228 passing attempts. His passing accuracy is impressive, not to mention his deep ball. He connected for over seventy percent of his deep balls for completions his two years at Florida and Arkansas. Had an incredible pro day clocking 4.55 in the 40-yards and 23 rep on the bench.

Weaknesses: He is a project quarterback who will need to sit behind a great veteran and further define the game. Despite the ability to scramble, he will run into the defensive front teeth and have costly and damaging sacks. He holds on to his passes too long and will a victim to the pass rushers. Although he goes thru his progressions, he still will stare down his principal target. If he uses his eyes more, he can bait the cover guys to have a pretense of routes. In a baseball career, he should know how to slide when given himself up on a play correctly.
