Player Bio: Jevon Holland was born in Coquitlam, Canada​. His family moved to the U.S., where he attended Bishop O'Dowd High School in Oakland, CA. At Bishop O'Dowd High, he was a two-way starter and excelled at both. His senior year at receiver, he caught 35 receptions for 1,012 yards receiving and 12 touchdowns and on defense 34 tackles, four pass deflections, and a team-high five interceptions, and five kick returns for touchdowns. He ended his prep career with 119 total tackles and 18 pass deflections. He garnered the 2017 North Coast Section Co-Defensive Player of the Year and the 2017 San Francisco Chronicle East Bay Player of the Year. He received invites and participated in Nike’s The Opening and the 2018 Polynesian Bowl.

Strengths: He is a very athletic safety who makes explosives play on defense and in the return game. In transition, he can backpedal, start and stop and flip his hips to get to the ball. A safety with cornerback skills, he can trail receivers across the field and put himself in go position to bat down the ball or perhaps intercept it. In all phases of the game, he can cover and play the run. He can receivers in the slot and will blow up quick developing screen plays. He will track the ball well and can get his head around to find it in the air. He is a quick-twitch, as you can watch as he returns punts. 

Weaknesses: He opted out of the 2020 NCAA season because of the pandemic; if played, he would benefit from increasing his stock. His slight frame keeps him from being an aggressive tackler with a thump. Strong safety position may not be position but probably settle as slot-corner. His aggressiveness may play against him at the next level as quarterbacks will set him up. Special teams will be his priority for his rookie campaign as he need a year to develop.
