#11 PAULSON ADEBO highlights

Strengths: Opted out his senior due to the pandemic virus's concerns, Adebo elected to declare for the NFL 2021 NFL Draft. Precisely what an NFL defensive coordinator is seeking for their defensive backfield. He is a lockdown corner that is cerebral and processes the game well. He is a very athletic cornerback with long arms, a wireframe and possesses excellent attributes. He has excellent speed, has fluid hips that allow him to rotate direction with relative ease, and explodes out of breaks. He is a press corner that can jam the receivers with one arm and run with the receiver. His quick and swift feet allow him to stay square and can turn and run with the receiver. He has excellent ability in diagnosing receiver route combinations disrupting the passing windows. He displays excellent ball skills, high points the ball at the catch point, and attacks it with his long frame. He is a fierce tackler who can help who will come downhill and make tackles. He generally wraps up his tackling, breaks down, and gets the job in the open field.

Weaknesses: He has not played football since 2019, and one concern will be how well he adapts to the NFL receiver's speed. He is not suited for off-man coverages. His excellent aggressiveness can also become his worst enemy. When he attacks the ball at the catch point and does not make the play, he generally gave up huge plays. He is susceptible to double moves due to his aggressiveness too. He tends to lose balance and his body control, especially when he soars downhill to make tackles and misses.

Draft Projection: 3rd Round

NFL Comparison: Stephon Gilmore (New England Patriots)
