Player Bio: Alec Pierce attended Glenbard West High School in Glen Ellyn, IL.
Pierce helped lead Glenbard West to a West Suburban Silver Conference Championship and was tabbed as an Illinois High School Football Coaches Association (IHSFCA) Class 8A selection. Pierce garnered Glenbard West IHSFCA Class 8A state semifinal squad in 2016. He earned Illinois HS Football Coaches Association First-Team All-State Class 8A honors, DuPage County football All-Area team, and All-West Suburban Silver honors.He earned a spot on the DuPage County All-Area Team, Suburban Life All-Area team, MVP of the West Suburban Silver in 2017, and a first-team all-league selection ... he had 25 receptions for 372 yards and five touchdowns. He also added three sacks, four interceptions, returned punts and was named MVP of the West Suburban Silver Game. The Chicago Sun-Times tabbed him as one of its Top-10 receivers entering the 2017 campaign. Pierce also participated in volleyball, basketball, and ran track.

Strengths  

• ​He is a big receiver with good size and physicality.
• Speedy receiver with the deceptive speed that can stretch the field vertically with playmaking skills.
• He is explosive off the line and releases quickly to beat press coverage.
• Excellent route runner who can get in and out of breaks suddenly.
• A playmaker who is consistent in making plays down the field can beat double teams.
• Tremendous leaping ability to win most 50/50 balls.
• He is an above-average blocker who will block downfield to spree the ball carrier.

Weaknesses

• He is not very flexible and a bit tight hipped.
• He does not give much after the catch; he will need to figure out how to make defenders miss in the open field.
