Player Bio: Boye Mafe attended Hopkins High School in Minnetonka, MN. At Hopkins High, he recorded 78 tackles (10 tackles for loss) and four sacks in his senior year. He recorded 40 tackles (three tackles for loss) and one sack as a junior. He garnered the 2016 Vikings MFCA All-Star Team, KARE 11 All-Metro Defense honors, and All-State Second Team Defense. He also excelled in track and field during his time at Hopkins High

• Strengths  
• ​He is tremendously athletic, quick, and a fast EDGE rusher.
• He demonstrates excellent bend off the EDGE.
• He is crafty at his job with the ability to evade blockers to get home.
• He has great recognition of finding the ball and scrapes of blocks
• He explodes off the line of scrimmage with an unbelievable get-off speed.
• He is disruptive as a pass rusher that plays with incredible leverage.
• He has excellent sideline-to-sideline range good closing speed that allows him to pursue and chase down backs from behind.

Weaknesses

• He is a bit undersized and will require to bulk up with more muscle mass.
• He will need to get stronger to play against the run at the next level as a much bigger linemen washes him out of the play.
• He has blunders on shedding blocks once engaged with the linemen.
• He will need to develop more pass rush arsenal at the next level.
