Player Bio: Charles Cross prepped at Laurel High School in Laurel, MS. He anchored an offensive line that helped the offense eclipse the 40-point mark six times as a senior. Cross was named first-team All-State by the Mississippi Association of Coaches first-team Class 5A All-Region 3 and Clarion-Ledger Dandy Dozen. He received an invite to the U.S. Army All-American Bowl and competed in the Mississippi/Alabama All-Star Game his senior year.

Strengths

• ​He is a young offensive lineman with much upside, excellent length, and a massive body.
• He is tremendously athletic for a lineman of his size that runs well.
• He can fire off the ball to sustain blocks, uses excellent leverage, and gets up to the second level of defenders.
• He has excellent mobility able to pancake the defender, pull like a guard, block in a zone-blocking scheme, and drive blocking.
• He has excellent mechanics with quick feet, for pass blocking, and the ability to kick slide. 
• A cerebral player who can recognizes twist, stunts, and blitzes.
• He can stay upright on his feet uses his arms well to keep the defender off his pad area.
• He plays until the sound of the whistle is blown.

Weaknesses

• He will need to add more bulk to his frame, about 20 more pounds.
• He needs to hit the weight room and add more strength for the next level.
• He does not render a good toque with his kick slide.
• He will struggle with finesse or speed-rushers, making him miss his initial hand strike here.
