Strengths
  • He is a cerebral player with a great football IQ.
  • He is a tweener who possesses a defensive back frame and possibly can add 15-20 pounds to become an NFL linebacker.
  • He is a versatile athlete that can play both safety and linebacking positions.
  • He is a very aggressive tackler who flies downhill for run support and tallied 172 tackles at Bluefield from the safety spot.
  • He is a big hitter who punishes the ball carrier with no extra yardage gain.
  • He has a massive frame as a safety, long and tall to cover the field on passing plays.
  • He is versatile and a ball hawk with excellent movent skills.
  • He has excellent vision, read and reaction skills, and active hands to knock away the ball.

Weaknesses
  • He has limited raw skills that offenses can expose at the next level.
  • He is not very fluid in the hips and has high hip stiffness and a long stride.
  • He is susceptible to play-action and RPO offenses with his aggressive pursuit of the ball.
  • He will often go for the big hit and not wrap up; skilled running backs will take advantage of that weakness at the next level.
  • His level of competition questions his skill level and may intimidate away some scouts
  • Will teams draft him as a safety or linebacker

Draft Projection: 6th Round - PFA (Priority Free Agent)

NFL Comparison: Kam Chancellor (Seattle Seahawks)
