Player Bio: Nicholas Petit-Frere attended Berkely Prep in Tampa, Fl. As a junior, Petit Frere helped Berkeley Prep reach the Class 3A state semifinals. He garnered the Franklin D. Watkins Memorial Trophy Award, given to the country's top African-American high school football player, MaxPreps All-American First-Team, and the Tampa Bay Times HomeTeam 100. Petite-Frere won the lineman strength competition at the Under Armour All-American game. He received an invite to participate in the Under Armour All-America Game. He also played basketball for Berkeley Prep.

Strengths

• He is a massive lineman with a nice bulky frame and athletic versatility to play at right or left tackle.
• He is extremely athletic, has fluid hips and quick feet, is light on his feet, and moves well laterally.
• He has very long arms to correct him when he gets beat.
• He is exceptional strength and power and maintains a balance that allows him to control his side of the line. 
• He is a mauler as a blocker that keeps his legs driving while blocking the defender.
• He is smooth and transitions well on sliding down, chipping, and climbing up to the second level.
• He has enormous hands that allow him to pack a nice punch and counter against powerful defensive linemen.
• He is a cerebral player with excellent recognition of stunts, blitzes, and twists.
• He has a good kick start and runs a smooth arc in pass protection.

Weaknesses

• He needs work on his hand placement and its timing.
• He will tend to lunge out too far and misses blocks.
• He will allow the defender to get deep into the backfield, breaking down his containment in pass protection.
• Speedy pass rushers will cause him to struggle at the next level.
