GAME FILM
#66 TY CLARY VS Auburn (2021)

Strengths
  • He is a versatile lineman who can play all three positions on the line.
  • He is an aggressive center with a nasty and mean edge to him.
  • He mauls at the point of contact and can upfield to level the linebacker or defensive back.
  • He keeps an excellent base to seal the edge of the gap.
  • He will set an excellent anchor to control the more prominent defenders in the center of the line.
  • He uses excellent hand placement and can feel for other rushers penetrating.
  • He will absorb bull rushers and recognition of twists, stunts, and blitzes.

Weaknesses
  • He has limited range and cannot reach the second level always.
  • He usually plays above the pad level from late get-offs, so he loses leverage and attempts to make up with strength.
  • He will waste blocks on defensive backs instead of shoving them off course and off to the next one.
  • He will lunge out, ducking his head and losing his vision of his target.
  • Need to be more consistent with his hand placement when moving his target.

Draft Projection: Free Agent

NFL Comparison: Austin Blythe (Kansas City Chiefs)
