Ed "Pi Double i" HendersonWorldWide Rams Linebacker Travin Howard, a seventh-round selection by the Los Angeles Rams of the 2018 NFL Draft, is resigned to the Rams practice squad.
Howard, who played collegiately at TCU, led the Horn Frogs in tackles in three consecutive` seasons. The undersized linebacker was a long shot at making the team, had the potential and talent, but caught up in a numbers game on the depth chart. Rams released their seventh-round selection in Howard with an injury reserve settlement. This signing does not come as a surprise, as defensive coordinator Wade Phillips took a particular interest in drafting Howard. Howard addition to the practice squad meant that Rams needed to make a corresponding move to create space. Rams release safety Linden Stephens from the practice squad as Howard plugs the tenth roster spot.
