Ed “Pi Double i” HendersonWorldWide Rams The Los Angeles Rams waived quarterback Brandon Allen today, an anticipated move to clear a roster spot. Starting right guard, Jamon Brown is returning from suspension for violation of the league's substance abuse rule.
The league suspended Brown for the first two games this season, is eligible to return this week when the Rams host the Los Angeles Chargers in a battle of Los Angeles. Rams had been playing with only seven active linemen this season, a move that has worked to their advantage. Austin Blythe who has started the last two games played exceptionally well, and with Brown's return, you have to question does the Rams continue with Blythe? In addition to the Rams waiving Allen, they also waived rookie hopefully quarterback Luis Perez and tight end Temarrick Hemingway from the practice squad. Tough to see Perez released as he had a great following of Ram fans, and hopefully he's brought back later in the season. Expectations from the Perez release, granted if Allen clear waivers, expect him to sign back to the practice squad. The Detroit Lions released the Rams former sixth-round draft selection Jamil Demby from their roster. Expect the Rams to be optimistic that Demby clears waiver as they will attempt to sign to their practice squad.
